Software engineering: The closest career to knowing what its like to be a god

First off, let me start by saying that being a software engineer is not for the weak. It takes a lot of mental strength and willpower to make a career out of being a software engineer. It goes beyond writing codes and having fancy workstations, lol. There's a lot of thinking involved, attention to detail, and the ability to figure out a problem and the best way to solve it. I am just two years into my career as a software engineer, and it has been one hell of a ride. As I am writing this, I considered quitting yesterday because of a problem I was trying to solve that wasn't responding properly to all of my "fixes," but I guess it's all part of the process. It's a phase that everyone who has made a career as a software engineer has passed through. But there's an exciting feeling about being a software engineer—the ability to create your ideas and see them come to life, gives you a taste of what it feels like to be a god. Maybe that's why people get into this space—to give their ideas life, even if they mask it by claiming to want to solve problems or make a difference. Deep down, I know they love the feel and thrill of being creators.

This is my first post here, and I hope to make this place my diary and share my thoughts more often on things that fascinate me aside from work.
